TARA DELEON IS A BILINGUAL FILIPINO AMERICAN ACTOR, SINGER AND MODEL BORN AND RAISED IN LOS ANGELES, CA.
tara deleon was born on May 25, 1988 in burbank, CAlifornia. She is the only daughter to claro deguzman, a prominent and accomplished attorney in Manila, Philippines, and to marites Deguzman, a successful executive assistant for a boutique investment banking firm in los angeles, california.
early on, tara developed a passion for music. she started to sing at the age of seven; singing for choirs at school and performing at annual talent shows. as tara got older, so did her taste in music. she began to gravitate toward songs by aretha franklin, whitney houston, and prince. but her true eye-opening moment came when her mother introduced her to broadway. Miss Saigon and les Miserables immediately became tara's favorites and have been part of her repertoire ever since. Tara quickly fell in love with musical theatre and eventually relocated to New york City, new york to pursue a career on broadway and performed in various productions such as "wicked", "r.E.N.T", and "In the heights."
tara also has a love for the silver stage, accruing credits for both film and t.v. tara has worked on shows such as NBC's Smash and USA Network's White Collar. in addition, tara recently starred in a short film called, "the Battle", a story about a soldier's wife saying goodbye to her dying husband. tara hopes to continue accruing credits in both film and t.v.
Tara has also been able to use her talents by participating in various fundraisers and events. Tara has sung for causes such as "handog Sa Bayan," a hurricane relief foundation for the victims of hurricane ondoy in the philippines, Los Angeles House of Ruth, a charity that aids women and children that come from domestic abuse, and "F.p.a.c.; Festival of philippine arts and culture.
tara has participated and accomplished much in her field. yet, that does not stop her from hoping to accomplish more. tara currently resides in los angeles, california where she continues to work toward accruing credits in film, television and stage.
